Gaming. Negotiations with the office of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger resulted in an amended Compact signed by the Tribe on August 18, 2004. The Tribe is currently seeking ratification of the amended Compact by the California State Legislature, and thereafter approval by the Secretary of the Interior.

The Ewiiaapaayp Tribe originally signed a Tribal-State Compact on September 10, 1999. The Compact was approved by Assistant Secretary - Indian Affairs, Department of the Interior, on May 5, 2000. The Compact took effect when the notice of the Secretary's approval was published in the Federal Register/Vol. 65, No 95, on May 16, 2000.

The Tribe plans to begin development of a tribal government casino enterprise in accordance with its amended Tribal-State Compact once final approvals are received.

RENEWABLE ENERGY. The Ewiiaapaayp Tribe plans to develop its wind resources on the higher elevations of its Ewiiaapaayp Indian Reservation.
